Hey! I hope you are enjoying your day and you leave my blog inspired today! Lately, I have been all about keeping a journal. It has become slightly obsessive that I keep my journal on me at all times. I have benefited in great ways from keeping a journal the last few months. Click Below to read more & I will share with you some of the things I like to keep in my journal and the benefits I have gained. As a young girl I kept a diary, I did not write secrets or scared notes in my diary like a typical 10 year old girl would. I was always the girl that enjoyed writing poetry and drawing. Recently, I picked up a journal and decided to journal my current experiences in my life. Currently, I feel that my life has so much change I want to document it in a way that I can go back, look at it and see the growth. The biggest reason I decided to journal is to document my growth. Journaling can be therapeutic for your growth process. It can help you organize your thoughts, release negative thoughts, express yourself, expand on thoughts and much more. When I journal I jot down things that have been bothering me throughout the day. I like to write it down and write a prayer after it. That is the moment I decide to release the negativity and give God my cares and concerns. I am then able to let go of what is bothering me. If I began to thinking about negativity again I remind myself that I wrote it down, prayed about it and God will take care of it. Journaling can be your escape, when things are not going as planned write it down, write a prayer and give it to God. You will benefit tremendously by helping yourself let go. Re-reading my journal entries have been the greatest benefit for me. By re-reading my journal entries I can identify things God has done for me and all the answered prayers. I become inspired by quotes or scriptures I have written down. I love seeing how many good days vs bad days I've had. You can benefit greatly by re-reading journal entries, you will become inspired, motivated or joyful by seeing that you are moving forward in God's plans for you or you are overcoming a specific trial in your life. Lastly, I want to tell you never limit yourself when keeping a journal. Your journal entries do not have to be long. It may be a quote that inspired you, a scripture you read, something someone said to you, interpretation of a biblical reading, daily recap, or whatever your feel. My journal is very versatile, I write what I feel, why I feel a certain way, prayers, and plenty more. If you are currently journaling share your method of writing below. Do you have specific things you like to write in your journal? If so, please share in the comments below. I hope you are inspired to go out and buy a journal and start writing today! Release negativity, persevere and grow with your journal! Thanks for reading!
